From May 6^th to September 5^th, the Estonian Museum of Natural History presents "Mammoth Was Here".

Woolly mammoths once roamed over vast areas of Eurasia and North America. The calls of these Ice Age giants could be heard in Estonia as well. It is here, near the town of Puurmanni, that one of the youngest mammoth finds in Europe came to light.

The Geology section will be closed from April 28 to September 5, due to a temporary exhibition.

In 2010, Estonian nature conservation will celebrate its 100th anniversary. Estonian nature conservation is considered to be born on 14th August 1910, when Vaika bird protection area was established under the leadership of Artur Toom.
